Giovanna “Jennie” (Armetta) Peduto, 79, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012.Born and raised in New York City, she resided in Fair Lawn for fifty years.A faithful and active parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, she was a member of the Rosary Society and seniors organization.Mrs. Peduto was also a member of the Cosmo’s Club and Live Wirers both of Fair Lawn.Jennie was an avid fan of the NY Yankees.
Beloved wife of the late Pasquale Peduto.Loving and devoted mother of Connie Mallon and husband John and Patricia Bennanti and husband Sal.Cherished grandmother of Kristin and James.Dear sister of Madeline and Ann.
A funeral mass is planned for Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 10:30 AM at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.The family will receive family and friends Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jennie may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 785 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901.
