Laura E. (Gerard) Shedlock, 91, of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Fair Lawn, NJ and Medusa, NY before moving to Saddle Brook.A veteran advocate, she was a member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 7229 in Oak Hill, NY and Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary Post 88 in Albany, NY.Laura enjoyed gardening.
Prior to retiring in 1979, Mrs. Shedlock was employed in the credit department of Gimbel’s Department Store in Paramus for nineteen years.Previously, she was an administrative assistant with Royal Liverpool Group in New York City.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Shedlock.Loving and devoted mother of Joseph W. Shedlock and Carol A. Baeli and husband, Joseph J., Jr.Cherished grandmother of Jacqueline Kapusta and Thomas Vander Weit.Adored great grandmother of Nolan Joseph Kapusta.Dear sister of the late William Gerard.
A funeral service is planned for Saturday, April 28, 2012, 12:30 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500.Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday 11 AM to 12:30 PM at the funeral home.
