Virginia “Ginny”G. (Gennaro) James, 71, of Glen Rock, NJ passed away suddenly on Friday, April 13, 2012.  Born in Newark, NJ, she was raised in Glen Rock where she has resided since 1954.  Mrs. James was a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock and a member of the NJ Masters Track Club.  An avid walker who was a regular at the Glen Rock park for the past twenty-five years, she enjoyed antiquing,and spending time with her family and friends.

 

Prior to retiring in July 2011, she was a media center technician with Glen Rock High School for thirty-four years.

 

Beloved wife of fifty-one years of David James.  Loving and devoted mother of Lori James Dennis of San Diego, CA, Stephen James and Nancy James.  Cherished grandmother of Catherine and Max of San Diego, CA.  Beloved daughter of Stella (Baron) and the late Angelo Gennaro.  Dear sister of Angelo Gennaro and Marilyn Ingulli.

 

A funeral mass is planned for Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 10:15 AM at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 905 South Maple Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ.  Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.  The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500.

 

The family would like to have a bench placed in the Glen Rock County Park in memory of Ginny.  She loved the park and walked there often with friends.

 

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation check towards the purchase of this park bench.  Checks should be made payable to David James and mailed to Linda Kraut, Glen Rock High School, 400 Hamilton Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ 07452.  Thank you.
