Robert G. Young, age 70, of Fair Lawn, NJ on Sunday, August 24, 2008.  Born and raised in Bronx, NY, he was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School.  A financial consultant, he was a member and past president and vice president of the National Association of Investing.  An avid NY Yankees fan, Bob also enjoyed gardening.

 

Prior to retiring in 1986, he was a bus driver with Mabstoa, Inc. in Bronx, NY for twenty eight years.

 

Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Gilronan) Young.  Loving and devoted father of Robert Young of Fair Lawn.  Dear brother of Joan Kerlin of Pittsburg, Diane Rodriguez of Georgia and the late Joseph Young.  Robert is also survived by his special angel, Amanda Sottman.

 

A funeral mass is planned for Thursday, August 28, 2008, 10:30 AM at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.  The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Lane, Totowa, NJ 07512.
