Dear Aunt Carole, I miss you. I don’t think a day will go by that you aren’t missed and thought about.. you left such an impact on all of those you met and who had the pleasure of knowing you. Such a gentle, sweet soul. You taught me how to care for those in need since I was a little girl and I’ll never forget our special time volunteering together and our hot dog dates with Carol Meyer at Pappy’s. Our day trips, family dinners, sleepovers at your house doing arts and crafts. So much of who I am is because of you. My beautiful Godmother and Aunt, you are truly and angel and I know that you’re no longer suffering and can rest easy now with Nanny and Grandpa in Heaven. A rum and coke in one hand and a good book in the other. Travis and I wanted so badly for you to meet our baby before you were taken from us but I know that you’re here with us everyday. All the signs you send us are not mistaken.. we know it’s you, here with all of us, letting us know you’re still around. We will continue to comfort and take care of Mom and Uncle Lou for you, as they are taking it hardest of all. You know how close our family is and Uncle Lou is being surrounded by love every single day staying with mom and dad. He gets to see baby Matthew every day now and that makes him so happy. I love you so much Aunt Carole and you will stay alive in the memories we have of you.. I can still hear your voice calling me “JJ”. ❤️ Love you Always and Forever, Jamie and Travis xoxoxo
My sweet godmother, there are no words for how broken my heart is from losing you. You were the light in so many of our lives. I feel so blessed that you waited for me, that I made it home in time and you knew I was there. I will always carry the weight of your loss in my heart, but all of the wonderful memories as well. Rest easy now. I will take care of mommy, and we've all got Uncle Lou. Give Nanny and Grandpa a kiss from me. I love you a bushel and a peck. -Your Lori
Thinking of you, Uncle Lou, and sending love from both me and Jake. We both loved Aunt Carole so much, and are so sad that she is no longer with us. She was such a sweet, kind, and loving woman with a heart of gold. We were just saying that she never seemed to have any drama with anyone, she never held grudges, she only ever expressed kindness. She will be missed by everyone she knew and loved.
