Emma Vilardi


Emma (Skettini) Vilardi, age 97, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at home.  Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, she resided in Fair Lawn for 57 years before moving to Florida 15 years ago.  She earned a medical technician certification from Upsala College in East Orange, NJ.  Mrs. Vilardi was a parishioner of Mary Immaculate Church in West Palm Beach, FL.  Previously, she was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, member of the North Jersey Country Club in Wayne and member of the Bear Lakes Country Club of West Palm Beach.  Emma enjoyed golfing, Bridge, knitting and needlepoint.

Prior to retiring in 1984, she owned and operated the Vilardi Bioanalytical Lab with her husband, Dr. Dante Vilardi.

Beloved wife of 66 years of the late Dante Vilardi.  Dear sister-in-law of Adair Skettini, Rose Johnson and sister of the late Mary Aliotta, Rena Skettini, Richard Skettini, Robert Skettini, Edward Skettini.  Loving aunt of Kathleen Bailey and husband Roger, Valerie Stoughton and husband Bob, Richard Skettini and wife Dorothy, Frank Skettini, David Skettini and wife Michelle, Mark Skettini and wife Tamara, Lauren Baker, Paul Skettini, Armand Aliotta and wife Gaetana, Joseph Aliotta and husband Bill, Stephan Skettini and wife Maria, Craig Skettini and wife Donna, the late Raymond Skettini and surviving wife Donna and the late Dr. Paul Vilardi.

The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, March 17, 2019, 2-6 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 18, 2019, 9:30 am at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Emma to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 would be appreciated.

For all who knew my Aunt Emma you were truly Blessed. She was beyond kind and giving. She and my Uncle Dante were the best Aunt and Uncle anyone could ever have. My memories of them and Fairlawn are more than wonderful. They are together now.
