Loraine M. Toepert


Loraine M. (Neubert) Toepert, age 86, a lifelong resident of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019.  A faithful and active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Passaic, she was a member of WELCA.  Loraine enjoyed music and word puzzles.

Prior to retiring in 1994, she was a secretary to the principal in the Saddle Brook Public School System for many years.

Loving and devoted mother of Glenn Toepert and wife Barbara and Janet Wagner and husband Paul.  Cherished grandmother of Michael and Joseph Toepert, Paul Wagner, Jr. and wife Kim and Joan Wagner.  Dear sister of the late Erna Bychek and Hilda Meadows.

The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, February 14, 2019, 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  A funeral service is planned for Friday, February 15, 2019, 10 am at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Loraine to St. John Lutheran Church, 140 Lexington Avenue, Passaic, NJ 07055 would be appreciated.

As the leader of the WELCA at St. John Lutheran Church, Passaic, and a member of St. John Lutheran Church , We wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Toepert family.. Lorraine was one of the 4 Lorraines on Sundays English service. Lorraine was the Church's Greeter for many Years and always had a kind word to say. She was always involved with the Church's WELCA group. Her presence was always seen and felt at St. John. We all loved her, for her love, kindness, knowledge,uplifting and caring attitude. I will always remember the love and kindness my Aunt Loraine gave to everyone. She always brought a smile to me and warmed my heart. She was a very special person and I was lucky to have her as an Aunt. Extending our deepest sympathies to the entire family for our loss.
